The trotteur (trotteur, French = suitable for walking) is a comfortable street shoe with a flat or low, wide heel.
It is a further development of the classic pump, which is also often referred to as a high-front pump, which means that it has a raised vamp and is usually closed up to the instep. These comfortable companions are often also equipped with straps over the instep, which further improves the fit. Trotteurs are usually made of leather or imitation leather and usually have a slightly more elegant style due to their small heel.
Trotteurs offer many combination possibilities due to their classic appearance; they look particularly great with skirts and dresses of all kinds, but they can also look very sexy with tight trousers.
