The Vans success story began in March 1966 with the founding of the Van Doren Rubber Company in California.
This year also saw the release of the absolute Vans shoe classic #44. Die-hard fans know that this is a shoe from the Authentic series.
In the beginning, the shoes were especially popular with skaters and not only because of the grippy sole. In the course of time, the cooperation with the skater scene became closer and closer, up to sponsoring. This has not changed to this day.
